About

I like engineering challenges and finding ways to automate the boring stuff. I also like learning about new technologies and being in the loop while they develop. That’s why I wanted to see if I could literally build myself a suite of engineering tools with AI, and maybe eventually turn it into an app. We’ll see.

Where I’ve worked

I’ve done a bunch of vaguely related stuff over the past few years. I guess I’m still doing that in a way, by launching this website too.

Road infrastructure in Riyadh. Industrial decarbonisation projects in Glasgow. Wind-farm foundations in İzmir. A year and a half exploring residential development in western Ukraine with my own company. Before all of that, a hydraulics lab, breaking earth-fill dams on purpose to see how they fail.

Right now I’m a technical office engineer at Yüksel İnşaat, working on a major road project in Riyadh. If you want the full list, expand the experience in the Properties panel.

Education

• MSc Construction Project Management, Heriot-Watt University, 2024. Dissertation: moving natural gas and CO₂ in both directions through operating hydrocarbon pipelines, to make carbon capture and storage easier to deliver.
• BSc Civil Engineering, Dokuz Eylül University, 2022. Dissertation: earth-fill dam breaks and the sediment they carry, with laboratory and numerical models applied to real dams in GIS.
